CCTV Technician

About this role

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras and surveillance systems.
• Handle IP cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and related networking equipment.
• Perform CCTV camera installation, cabling, termination, and configuration.
• Troubleshoot camera, DVR/NVR, connectivity, and recording issues.
• Configure remote viewing and CCTV monitoring through mobile/web applications.
• Conduct regular maintenance and health checks of CCTV systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and connectivity issues.
• Replace faulty cameras, cables, power supplies, connectors, and other components when required.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams for installation and service requirements.
• Maintain proper records of installations, service visits, and maintenance activities.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure quality standards during installation and maintenance.
• Required Skills
• 1–2 years of experience as a CCTV Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Good knowledge of CCTV installation and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of IP networking, LAN, switches, and routers.
• Hands-on experience with DVR/NVR and IP camera configuration.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical issues independently.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel to client locations when required.
• ITI/Diploma/Technical qualification in Electronics, Electrical, IT, Networking, or a related field is preferred.
